Certified IMS / Dry Needling
Intramuscular Stimulation is a total system for the diagnosis and treatment of persistent myofascial pain syndromes, including muscle, joint, tendon, bursal, fascial, neural and biomechanical problems.
Our clinic founders are both Certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation Practitioners (CGIMS) having been trained in the advanced science of Gunn IMS. A Physiotherapist with CGIMS must have a minimum 4 years clinical musculoskeletal or neuromuscular physiotherapy patient experience as well as either acupuncture certification or Level III of the Intermediate Diploma of Manual Therapy.
AN-IMS/Dry Needling
All of our therapists are certified in AN-IMS/Dry Needling. AN-IMS is a form of IMS/Dry Needling based on the foundation of extensive clinical reasoning, in depth investigation of anatomy and expert instruction in the safe and effective hands on application of Dry Needling. It has roots in an evolved neuropathic clinical reasoning framework that ensures therapists have the tools and clinical reasoning to understand when to use needles in treatment.
